A three-day Conference on Religion aimed at devising plans for moral and spiritual support of the United Nations opened here today at Town Hall with the participation of representatives of the major religions of the world.
Jewish groups which participated in organizing the conference include the American Jewish Committee, the American Jewish Congress, the Synagogue Council of America, the Young Israel Organization, Hadassah, the World Jewish Congress and others. Among the subjects scheduled for discussion are: The moral and religious resources of mankind, religion and human rights and religion as a force for world unity.
