More than 300 rabbis from the United States and Canada are attending the three-day convention of the Rabbinical Alliance of America, an Orthodox rabbinical organization, which opened here today. Haim Zohar, Consul of Israel in New York, will be among the principal speakers.
Subjects to be discussed at the sessions include Federal aid to education, support of day schools by local Jewish federations, the situation of Soviet Jewry, Sunday closing laws and humane slaughter legislation.
