Problems and issues of vital importance to American Jews as well as to Jewish communities abroad will be discussed at the three-day annual conference of the American Jewish Committee which opens tomorrow at the Commodore Hotel. Over 500 leading members of the Committee from 50 major cities will attend the conference.
An announcement issued today said that the discussions, out of which will merge the programs charting the major domestic and international activities of the committee for 1951, will center on such topics as rearmament of Germany, Arab-Israel tension, the impact of the current international crisis on the individual freedoms of Americans, improvement of relations among the numerous ethnic and religious groups in the United States, and the cultural and other forces which influence the American Jewish community today.
