Three holidays, the Jewish Arbor Day, Lincoln’s Birthday, and Washington’s Birthday, occurring in February, will be celebrated by Jewish Centers and Y.M.H.A.’s. The Jewish Welfare Board is cooperating with the associations in planning programs celebrating these holidays. Jewish Arbor Day (Cham## Osor Bish’vat) will be observed February 6.
The Jewish Welfare Board has issued a bulletin for Lincoln’s Birthday and for Washington’s Birthday, containing suggested programs, selections in prose and verse suitable for use in programs.
For the Jewish holiday, the Board has furnished material which includes a statement of the significance of the festival, a series of “Questions and Answers” relating to it, a selected list of plays, suggestions for tableaux, and readings and songs appropriate to the occasing.
