Over three hundred Jewish doctors and dentists, including many who are prominent in their professions, are taking steps to form an emergency association for the assistance of German-Jewish refugees. The group will also join other Jewish organizations in protest against the Nazi outrages.
Dr. Radcliffe Salaman suggested that the group call upon the Rockefeller Foundation to take action on the persecution of Jewish scentists in Germany, inasmuch as Dr. James Franck, the German-Jewish Nobel Prize winner who resigned from Gottingen University, was instrumental in getting large endowments from the Institute for that University.
It was pointed out that British colleges are already preparing to take action, with Cambridge University organizing a hospitality committee for the reception of German-Jewish scientists.
A boycott of German medicines and medical instruments was unanimously rejected as inadvisable, but it was suggested that patronage of German health resorts and Spas should be discouraged, as physicians could easily advise their patients to go elsewhere.
