Three hundred immigration certificates out of 1,700 granted by the Government for the half-year April October (altogether there were 2,000 granted, of which the Government reserved 300 for tourists who may decide to stay permanently in Palestine) have been allocated by the Immigration Committee of the Jewish Agency for middleclass settlement.
This decision has been made on the urgent representation of ex-Deputy Farbstein, member of the Jewish Agency Executive, who had asked for 500 of the certificates to be set aside for middleclass immigrants.
