A bomb exploded in the central bus station in Acre today slightly injuring a police sapper who was trying to defuse it and two bystanders. Minor damage was caused to nearby shops. The driver of a bus from downtown Haifa noticed a suspicious-looking parcel left behind after discharging his passengers at the terminal. The police sapper, responding to his call, removed the parcel from the bus and was working on it when the bomb detonated. The bus station was closed off while the area was searched but reopened shortly afterwards.
