Three Israeli doctors are planning to set up an ovum bank in Cyprus, a move aimed at sidestepping Israeli laws prohibiting the sale of human eggs. According to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz, the gynecologists hope to bring donors from the former Soviet Union and other countries to the clinic, where the eggs will be fertilized and implanted in Israeli patients.
