Three appointments to office, of special interest to the Jews of the state, were announced here by Governor Moore. Judge Joseph Siegler of Newark, was reappointed for a five-year term as judge of the Essex County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Abe J. David, of Elizabeth, was re-appointed for a five-year term as Prosecutor (District Attorney) of Union County. Judge David is active in the Jewish communal life of his city and at present is serving as honorary head of the Y.M.-Y.W.H.A. Membership campaign there.
The Governor announced that Assemblyman Joseph Greenberg of Hoboken will become judge of the District Court there, succeeding William E. Hanley. At the personal request of Assemblyman Greenberg, who last year served as Speaker of the Assembly, he will take up his new duties at the end of March.
Governor Moore’s recent appointment of Police Judge Harold Simandl of Newark, to the Circuit Court of the state is still pending in the Senate, where it must receive confirmation in order to take effect.
