Algerian authorities disclosed today that three Jews were injured when a hand grenade was tossed into a bar in Oran last Sunday. Nine other persons in the crowded bar were wounded when the grenade exploded.
The officials said this was the first such attack in Oran in nearly a year. There have been a number of grenade and bomb attacks on Jewish-owned or Jewish-frequented cafes in this city, in recent months. The last attack of the kind here caused two deaths and three injuries, all Jews.
