Three Jews Put on Trial in Syria; Charged with Seeking to Reach Israel

Arab press reports received here today revealed that three young Jews have been brought to trial before a Syrian military tribunal in Damascus on charges of trying to emigrate to Israel.

The three were Yaacov Attar, Shimon Salouk, and Yussef Naschi. They were accused of being “organized” by a person named Marco Mograbi described as organizer of underground emigration to Israel from the Jewish Club in Damascus. The trial remains in progress with no verdict yet issued.
