Three petrochemical plants were officially inaugurated this weekend here by Pinhas Sapir, Israel’s Minister of Finance, Commerce and Industry. The production units represent a total investment of $20,000,000. In another industrial development, cornerstone laying ceremonies were held here this weekend for a new cement rotating oven. The oven will be Israel’s fourth and is expected to considerably increase cement exports.
