Prison terms ranging from 10 to 14 years were meted out this morning by a military tribunal in Lydda to the three women who last week pleaded guilty to charges of entering Israel with the intent of carrying out acts of sabotage for Arab terrorists. The three were also accused of possessing explosives. Nadia Bardali, 26, was sentenced to 12 years while her 21-year-old sister Marlene was given 10 years. The German-born French-educated Evelyne Barge, 27, was sentenced to 14 years in jail. After imposing the sentences, the court continued hearing the case against two French elderly people, Edith and Pierre Burghalter, who are being tried on the same charges. They have pleaded not guilty. According to Israeli authorities, they were found in possession of the activating devices for the three women’s explosives.
