Three workers in the factory Svisldtchsky, in the district of Minsk, were arrested as the torturers of the Jewish worker, Miss Barshay. Two of the arrested are members of the Communist Youth Organization and they have been excluded from the party.

A joint commission of the White Russian Zik, Central Executive Committee, and the Central Executive of the Labor Unions, is investigating this case which has attracted wide attention in the press. Many workers have voiced their protest against the treatment accorded Miss Barshay who was stripped and doused in cold water by her fellow-workers.

The “Pravda” reports in connection with this case that anti-Semitism is rampant in many factors in White Russia.
