Three youngsters from different parts of the country were declared the winners of the fourth national Bible Contest held under auspices of the Department of Education and Culture of the Jewish Agency. The winners, who will receive a free trip to Israel, are: Devra Beck of Denver, Col.; Jerrold May of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Zelda Kahan of Far Rockaway, N.Y.
Among those who addressed the exercises in which 36 finalists took part were Dr. Emanuel Neumann, chairman of the American section of the Jewish Agency; Dr. Samuel Bluemenfield, director of the Agency’s Department of Education and Culture; and Dr. Judah Pilch, chairman of the Bible Contest Committee.
