Through an unfortunate error in transmission, a story on Page Two of the JTA Daily News Bulletin of June 1 dealing with a report of the South African Jewish Board of Deputies, the impression was conveyed that the South African government had barred transfer to Israel of funds raised by South African Jewry in 1967 after the Six-Day War. Actually, the government facilitated the transfer of these funds to Israel through special currency concessions following representations by the South African Zionist Federation and the South African Jewish Board of Deputies.
