The Jenkins bill to grant enlarged preference within the quota to the wives and children of aliens is expected to be reached for consideration in the House on May 21 if not earlier.
The House Immigration Committee met in executive session yesterday and began consideration of the Certificates of Arrival bill for the legalization of the admittance of aliens where there is no official record of their entry. The committee reached no conclusion and will meet again for further consideration on Wednesday.
