The attempt of the Zionist Federation in Germany to control all aspects of Jewish communal life in the Reich was counteracted today by the Liberal faction of the Jewish community here in a statement issued by its leaders, who declare that German Jewry will never submit to Zionist supervision.
The statement accuses the Zionists of starting internal political conflict in Jewish life in Germany. It points out the constructive relief work done by the present Jewish liberal leaders in Germany and emphasizes that German Jewry under its liberal leadership has always dealt with Palestine matters in a positive manner.
“We have always deliberately avoided internal friction and party differences,” the statement emphasizes.
