Creation of a national federation of Jewish youth will be effected at the annual meeting of the Commission on Jewish Education which will be held Monday at the Congress Hotel, Chicago, it was announced here today by the Union of American Hebrew Congregations.
At the meeting, plans will be discussed for adult education, and the problems of anti-Semitism, immigration, and Christian-Jewish relations will be taken up. Dr. David Philipson will preside.
The commission represents the Union and the Central Conference of American Rabbis. The latter will open its convention Tuesday. Among those who will participate in the commission’s meeting are: Dr. Samuel Schulman of New York, chairman of the sub-committee on youth education; Prof. Henry Englander of Cincinnati, chairman on adult education; Dr. Abram Simon of Washington, chairman of teacher training, and Dr. William Rosenau of Baltimore, elementary education chairman.
