To grant or not to grant a loan to a Jew who has been a resident of Cardiff, Wales, for twnty-five years, is the question which now occupies the attention of the Rural Council of Cardiff.
The Housing Committee failed to agree on the principle involved in granting a building loan to a Jew who has been a resident in Cardiff for twenty-five years and referred it to the Rural Council. Some members of the council stood by the opinion that the applicant was to be considered an alien, while others said it did not matter as long as he was a “decent fellow.” Unable to reach a decision the matter was referred back to the Committee.
