A Jewish bank to enable Saar Jews with limited means to get credit will be established here, it was announced today by Jewish leaders, following negotiations with the Berlin Jewish bank Iwria.
The Iwria bank in Berlin was established for the purpose of extending credit to those Jews who are not in a position to get it from any of the general banks.
Dr. Georg Kareski, a director of the Berlin bank, indicated that an Iwria branch will be opened in Saarbruecken after March 1, in order to coordinate Jewish life in the Saar with that in the Reich.
