An extensive study of the effect of the Near-Eastern climate on eye, ear and nose diseases, the results of which will be presented to American medical bodies, will be made by Dr. Morris Levine, Associate Professor of Otology at New York Post-Graduate Medical School, Columbia University. Dr. Levine, who was granted a leave of absence by the Columbia authorities, is sailing tomorrow on the S. S. Exeter of the American Export Line on a six-month visit to Palestine and neighboring countries.
Dr. Levine, who is a prominent surgeon, is the author of the universally adopted text book on “Practical Otology” and is a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, a member of the American Editors and Authors Association and a member of the American Medical Association. During his stay in the Holy Land, in Egypt and in Syria, he will devote special attention to the study of the effect of Near-Eastern climatic conditions on sinus and ear trouble.
