The question raised by Alfred A. Benesch, member of the Cleveland Board of Education, as to the presence in the public schools of Cleveland of Ford’s “International Jew,” will be taken up by the Board on August 27.
The matter was postponed to await the return of R. G. Jones, Superintendent of Schools, and Charles H. Lake, Assistant Superintendent, who are on vacation. The presence of the book in the public schools became known when a report of pamphlets and books was presented to the Board. Mr. Benesch demanded an explanation of how the pamphlet and other material concerning controversial questions had found their way into the school system.
JABOTINSKY RECEIVED BY BRITISH COLONIAL SEC’Y
Vladimir Jabotinsky, leader of the Zionist Revisionists, during his recent stay in London was invited by L. S. Amery, the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to visit him and explain to him the aims and arguments of the Zionist opposition.
After hearing Mr. Jabotinsky’s views. Mr. Amery declared that he would give his attention to the demands of the opposition.
