Since the Code Authority has joined with the Department of Agriculture in enforcing the inspection of all live poultry entering the Metropolitan Area, the service has been greatly strengthened and poultry is examined by an adequate force of inspectors employed by the Bureau of Agricultural Economics of the U. S. Department of Agriculture.
The housewives of Greater New York can be assured of obtaining better poultry now entering the City from 41 States of the Union. The prime purpose of the Code Authority for the Live Poultry Industry is to see to it that wholesome chickens are received and distributed to the housewives of the Metropolitan Area. Never before in the history of the industry has there been such a careful and thorough-going inspection.
