Memorial services for Jewish partisans and concentration camp prisoners murdered near the city of Pleven, in Bulgaria, by the Nazis were held here yesterday on the occasion of the transfer of the remains of the victims to a common grave.
The services were arranged by the Jewish Organization for the Struggle Against Fascism, which is called the “Ilya Ehrenburg Organization.” Speakers included top members of the government and army and trade union leaders. All stressed the ties between Bulgarian Jews and non-Jews which were created in their common struggle against a common enemy.
