For the first time in his life Max Bernstein will wear a top hat and a cutaway coat Sunday night. It’s a special occasion in his life, and that’s why he’s making this exception. For Sunday night, Mr. and Mrs. Bernstein will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary in the Temple Emanuel. Five hundred children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends have been invited to the ceremony and the reception which will follow the ceremony.
Another fiftieth wedding anniversary to be celebrated here is that of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Rosen. A dinner and reception will be held in the Hotel Commodore, in New York City, on Saturday night, June 30. Mr. Rosen was president of the Barnert Temple congregation for a long period and is now honorary president of the congregation. He is also affiliated with numerous other organizations in Paterson.
