Top Israeli officials said they had no plans to release jailed Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti. Israeli President Moshe Katsav and Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom made the comments Sunday after Barghouti won primaries of Fatah, the main Palestinian movement, last Friday in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
