In response to requests by the religious leaders of Polish Jewry, through the American Federation for Polish Jews, the Vaad Hatzala has presented the Federation with twenty-five Torahs, 500 prayer books, bibles, phylacteries and other religious objects for distribution throughout Poland, it was announced today.
The shipment will be transported overseas within the next few days on a special vessel which the federation has chartered to carry relief to Polish Jews.
