A final total of $2, 650, 000 is expected to be raised in the 1964 campaign of the United Jewish Appeal of Toronto, it was announced here at the closing campaign celebration by Theodore D. Richmond, chairman. Mr. Richmond stated that this is an increase over last year of $40, 000.
Nineteen men and women who made “an exceptional contribution of time and energy to the campaign” were presented with the “Chairman’s Award, ” the highest campaign honor of the UJA. Mr. Richmond was given a Keren Hayesod medal in recognition of his work as chairman, by Stephen E. Berger, chairman of the UJA administrative committee.
