More than 300 Toronto Jews, half of them young people, staged a demonstration of support for Israel yesterday in Nathan Philips Square, in front of Toronto City Hall. A letter by the organizers of the demonstration was sent to Prime Minister Lester Pearson and United Nations Secretary-General U Thant.
The demonstration did not have the official sanction of the new Federated Zionist Organization of Canada, only because its board had not yet met. All individual officers of the Federation approved the march.
