The sum of $83,000 contributed by the clothing, woolen and allied trades, has brought the total raised by the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies to $2,689,573. The Federation Drive for $4,200,000 is reported as being well on the road to success.
Presentation of the check for $83,000 was made at a testimonial dinner held in honor of Charles D. Jaffee, president of the New York Clothing Manufacturers’ Exchange and chairman of the publicity committee of the clothing code authority at the Hotel Commodore.
