The Ministry of Tourism announced today that it would lend Arkia, Israel’s internal airline, IL 1.25 million toward the purchase of two additional aircraft. The loan was approved by the Ministry’s investment committee presided over by the Minister of Tourism, Moshe Kol. Arkia presently operates eight aircraft between points in Israeli territory. About 26 percent of the company’s income is derived from foreign tourists but according to forecasts that will increase to 47 percent by 1977.
