Emir Abdullah, ruler of the Transjordan, has succeeded in inducing Palestine to abolish the special identification cards necessary for Transjordan citizens who wish to enter Palestine, it is announced today in the Palestine press.
Commenting on this announcement the “Haretz,” a leading Hebrew daily, says that instead of opening Transjordan for the Jews of Palestine, the new arrangement actually opens Palestine for the inhabitants of Transjordania. The paper estimates that more than 6,000 Arabs from Transjordan have entered Palestine during the last two months.
