A serious situation has developed on the border of Transjordania, threatening to involve the western part of Palestine in warfare with the Wahabis.

The recent raids of the Wahabi tribes on Transjordanian villages and towns has called forth great indignation among the Transjordanian tribesmen who are clamoring for revenge. Expeditions of reprisal were said to be in full swing when Emir Abdullah, ruler of the territory, intervened urging the tribe leaders to refrain from their intention.
