A transport of 634 Jews left Poland today for Israel, according to a cable received here by the immigration department of the Jewish Agency.
The Agency announced that more than one-third of the 355, 108 immigrants who arrived in Israel since the establishment of the state up to January, 1950, have been absorbed in rural and urban areas. About 60 percent settled in abandoned Arab villages and towns. More than 12 percent were absorbed in agricultural settlements.
