General Mark Clark and Ambassador Robert Murphy, American deputies on the Council of Foreign Ministers, have placed before the representatives of Britain, France, and Russia, proposals submitted by the American Jewish Committee for inclusion in the peace treaties with Germany and Austria, the Committee announced today.
The information came to the Committee in a cable from its London representative, William Frankel. The proposals were submitted in Washington Feb. 19, to Under Secretary of State Dean Acheson and Assistant Secretary of State John H. Hilldring, acting as deputies for Secretary of State George C. Marchall, by Jacob Blaustein, chairman of the executive committee and Dr. John Slawson, executive vice-president of the American Jewish Committee.
