Families on the Transjordania-Hedjaz Frontier Already Evacuating Homes (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
Trouble is again brewing on the Arab peninsula, as ex-King Hussein, deposed by the victorous leader of the Wahabis, Sultan Ibn Saud, is planning a come-back.
Reports are current here that in connection with the revolt of several Bedouin tribes against the reign of Ibn Saud in Mecca, Hussein and his son Ali, in whose favor Hussein abdicated, are now taking measures to regain their rights to the throne. A mission whose members are now at Amman, capital of Transjordania where Hussein’s second son, Emir Abdullah, reigns, will proceed to Hedjaz in an attempt to raise a general revolt against Ibn Saud.
Many families who live on the Transjordania-Hedjaz frontier are evacuating their homes as Wahabi raids on the frontier territory are expected in connection with the troublesome political situation.
