President Truman accepted honorary chairmanship of Brotherhood Week which will be observed next February 17-24 under the sponsorship of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, it was announced here today.
“Until the world accepts the principle of the Brotherhood of Man under the Fatherhood of God, it will be compelled to live under a day-in day-out alert with the dread of deadly explosives always imminent,” the President said in his letter of acceptance. He said that the National Conference of Christians and Jews is doing “a magnificent job working for justice, amity and understanding among men of good will.”
