The Harry Truman Center for the Advancement of Peace has acquired the 20, 000-volume library of Prof. Martin Buber, the famed Israeli philosopher who died last year. The collection, which was purchased from the Buber family, contains rare volumes on comparative religion as well as philosophy, Jewish studies, the Bible, European and Oriental studies.
The archives of the late Dr. Buber are currently being sorted and catalogued by the library of the Hebrew University. The archives include manuscripts, notes and correspondence with many of the leading intellectuals of the world.
