President Truman, at his press conference today, stated that he was considering several people for appointment as members of the Anglo-American inquiry commission on Palestine, but that he could not name them until the two governments had agreed on the number of people who would be on the commission.

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns from authoritative sources that two of the men under consideration by the President are former Supreme Court Justice Owen J. Roberts and Federal Judge Learned Hand of New York.
