Former President Harry S. Truman will address the Combined Jewish Appeal at a “Climax Campaign Dinner” February 12th at the Algiers Hotel here, it was announced today by John Serbin, campaign chairman, and Howard Kane, president of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. The former President is scheduled to deliver a significant address expressing his views on the tense Middle East situation.
The Combined Jewish Appeal last week launched its fund drive to raise $1,468,000 for local, national and overseas needs, and an additional Emergency Rescue Fund of $1,500,000 to save the lives of 100,000 Jews fleeing oppression in North Africa, many satellite countries, and Egypt.
