Farouk el Homoud, a Jordanian medical student at Istanbul University who recently wrote an anti-Israel book in Turkish, has been expelled from Turkey for engaging “in activities against Turkey’s interests,” it was announced here today.
The book, “The Stolen Motherland: Palestine, ” was published here last October. The student had complained that little had been written in Turkey on the “Palestine problem” and said he wrote the book to bring certain “facts” to the attention of the Turkish people.
In the book, he presented the standard Arabic version of the 1948 Palestine war and appealed to the “Turkish brethren and co-religionists” for an all-out struggle against Israel. The theme “Let’s Crush Israel” was repeated several times in the book.
