Israel had an unfavorable balance of trade with Turkey last year, it was reported here today by the trade authorities. Israel exported to Turkey less than $250,000 worth of goods in 1950, while it purchased from Turkey over ten times as much as it sold.
This year the balance of trade is swinging back in a more favorable direction. March of this year was a record month for Israel trade with Turkey. The first shipments of Philco refrigerators and Kaiser-Frazer autos assembled in Israel have arrived, as well as a variety of other products.
