Turkey has just taken a move which will reactivate trade with Israel, brought to a standstill recently as a result of a Turkish Government decision to restrict imports and exports to nations not encompassed in the European Payments Union.
Ankara authorities have allocated a quota of the equivalent of $14,100,000 for exports to Israel during the current year. The import quota from Israel is not yet fixed, but is not expected to be less than an equivalent sum. Israel has already placed orders for $1,000,000 worth of Turkish products.
