The Turkish Ambassador to Amman, Mahmoud Dekurdom, has pledged to the Jordan Foreign Ministry that his government will “never sell arms to Israel or allow their transit through Turkish territory to Israel from any source,” it was reported here today in dispatches from the Jordan capital.
The Turkish Ambassador made his statement in denial of reports from Damascus that Ankara would supply Israel with American arms. The Syrian reports asserted that money to pay for the arms would be supplied by West Germany through the Israel-German reparations pact.
