The American policy with regard to national minorities in the United States will also be followed in Turkey, according to a statement made today by Dr. Abrevaya, the first and only Jewish member of the Turkish National Assembly.
“What our president wishes is to form a democratic Turkish nation of the different nationalities in the country, so as to make the Jews feel that they are Turks first and members of the Jewish community in the second place,” Dr. Abrevaya stated.
