A request by the Jewish community here for the establishment of a new Jewish school has been rejected by the Turkish authorities, it was learned here today. The School was to be located in a modern section of the city now inhabited by many Jews. All the other Jewish schools are in the older quarters. The reason for the rejection by the authorities of the Jewish community’s request has not been disclosed.
