Eighty Jews have been repatriated from Istanbul to France, Italy, Holland and Belgium, the Hias office here announced today.
Most of the repatriates are former Turkish citizens who were rounded up by the Nazis in various European countries and deported to Turkey during the war. Some of the Jews were shipped directly to Germany and were later exchanged in Turkey for German nationals held by the Allies.
