The Jewish Theological Seminary of America announced today it will present a four-part television series on the Yiddish language and literature to be carried in the metropolitan area by ABC-TV beginning Sunday, January 7 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The series, which will run through January 28, will commence with an exploration of the Yiddish language, its origins and how it is spoken by Jewish communities in different parts of the world. Subsequent broadcasts will contain readings from Yiddish literature by Harold Flender, a survey of the Yiddish press by Moses Howell and a discussion of the impact of Yiddish writings by David Horowitz.
