Twelve Americans on a B’nai B’rith trip were killed in a bus accident in northern Chile. The victims were returning to their Celebrity Cruises ship after visiting Lauca National Park on Wednesday when their bus swerved off the highway and plunged 300 feet down a mountainside, U.S. and Chilean officials said. A spokesman for Celebrity Cruises said the passengers, from the Ponds Chapter in New Jersey, were part of a B’nai B’rith trip on a 14-night South American cruise that left from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
